The 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) is a global, cross-industry organisation of companies from the automotive, technology, and telecommunications industries (ICT), working together to develop end-to-end solutions for future mobility and transportation services.  This presentation stresses the need for global connectivity for people, vehicles and transport infrastructure and the key benefit of NTN in the extension of ubiquitous terrestrial coverage.   Maxime's background is in Telecoms engineering and has developed almost 20 years of experience in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), leading to an acute expertise in Connected Vehicles (V2V, V2I, V2X), Automated Mobility (CAD, CAM, CCAM) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) leveraging NewAge technologies such as IoT, 5G, V2X, Big Data, Cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning, to accelerate deployment of new disruptive mobility solutions.

The LoRaWAN® specification is a Low Power, Wide Area (LPWA) networking specification designed to wirelessly connect battery operated ‘things’ to the internet in regional, national or global networks, and targets key Internet of Things (IoT) requirements such as bi-directional communication, end-to-end security, mobility and localization services.  The LoRa Alliance is a collective of organisations brought together with the single objective of applying this technology to key vertical market applications including, but not limited to, Precision Agriculture, Smart Buildings and Cities, Supply Chain and Logistics, Streamlined Industrial operations and Smart Grid and Utilities.

Andersonn Kohl - Business Development Manager

 

Andersonn is a highly experienced communications specialist in a number of fields including the military command and control - which is what he is here to talk about today.  He spent over 32 years in the Brazilian Army as a Senior Engineering Officer, he has also spent time with the Department of Science and Technology in Brazil and Managing Satellite and Technology Solutions with Telebras.  He is currently with ATECH, an IT Services and Consulting organisation attached to Embratel, One of the world's largest producers of commercial jets employing 18,000 people and a global player in defence and space.  Andersonn will be talking about how 5G and 6G technologies will be instrumental in transforming the way military forces operate in the future. By enabling faster, more secure, and more reliable communication, these technologies will give military commanders a significant advantage over adversaries.​

Agostinho Linhares - Executive Director 

 

Agostinho brings over 20 years of telecom sector experience having held key positions at the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), as Manager of Spectrum, Orbit, and Broadcasting.  He holds a PhD in Telecommunications and have published more than 40 scientific papers.  Agostinho is here to talk about Brazil's current advancements in 5G deployment and its foundational work to position the country for next wireless generation, covering regulatory aspects, infrastructure investment, and collaborative research. Additionally, it will be discussed how Brazil is fostering innovation and cross-sector partnerships to build a resilient framework, ensuring the nation is prepared to leverage the transformative opportunities of 6G technology.
